A Week Off….Sort Of

Well, hello fellow troublemakers! Did you guys miss me? I hope you did and if you didn’t, don’t tell me. Come on, don’t hurt me like that! It might not be a big deal, but I took a slight break from blogging last week. Some of you might think a week isn’t really that short, but I imagine it depends on the context. When it comes to our jobs, a week is too long. However, vacation-wise, a week simply isn’t long enough. I know I’m not the only one who feels this way. There’s no need to admit it, don’t worry, I understand!
With this thought in mind, a week of no blogging definitely felt too brief, especially considering the fact I only post two blogs a week. Despite that, there was an impression of relief when I made that decision to take a break, though I’m not entirely sure why. Perhaps I was overwhelming myself without fully realizing it. To be completely honest, I did sense that writing these blog posts was a bit forced.

Recently, it’s just been somewhat difficult to start them let alone finish them. In that regard, some time off did help me in a way. I chose to focus that time on other projects and searching for workshops. Now I believe I can return to these posts with a fresh perspective! Again, it may not seem like much, but it provided some assistance for me, even mentally.
This reminds me that it’s important to recognize the points where we begin to feel utterly overwhelmed. If we don’t learn to catch it, being overwhelmed can easily turn into burnout, and that can have serious aftereffects. If there is one thing I want to leave you with, it would be to please remember to take care of yourselves. You are your greatest asset, and that alone deserves the utmost care.
